Day 1: Shongwe Lookout Lodge in Victoria Falls

On arrival at Victoria Falls airport, guests will be met by a representative and road transferred to Shongwe Lookout Lodge in Victoria Falls where they will spend 1 night.

Shongwe Lookout Lodge Lodge is conveniently located close to town, The rooms surround our unique Lookout Tower, which offers stunning views of the Zambezi River, and the mist rising above the world-famous Victoria Falls, for which our lodge takes its. Guests can expect to actually see the "smoke" from the Falls, which is a wonderful and unique site, and a reminder of the thunderous power of this plummeting water

16:10hrs late afternoon, you set out on the Zambezi River for a relaxing and beautiful Dinner Cruise. Snacks will be served upon boarding on the Zambezi River for a relaxing and beautiful sundowners and followed by a three course set menu, served during the course of the Cruise. This trip stays for an extra 45 or so minutes longer on the river after the Sunset cruise time enjoy your favorite beverage while keeping an eye out for hippos, elephants, crocodiles and abundant bird life. Its 3 hour trip.

Day 2 Victoria Falls

Guided Tour of the Falls

09:00 After breakfast you explore the falls a view of the Victoria Falls is something you will never forget and the best way to see them is on a guided tour. Discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. These tours are extremely informative and end with a visit to the local art and crafts centre and big tree which is about 1500years old.

After Guided Tour of Falls Activities s you will go for lunch at the restaurant with the best views in all Victoria Falls named "Lookout Cafe'' at your owen account The Cafe’s simplistic design creates a flow through, connecting indoor and outdoor dining space, offering diners a unique experience with breathtaking views

 The Boma - Place of Eating

 This is not just another ethnic restaurant but a rather unique cultural experience. Excellent cuisine, including a variety of game meats and traditional Zimbabwean dishes accompanied by entertainment throughout your meal from traditional dancers,. Incorporates Shangaan dancers and singers and Guests are welcomed with a traditional greeting in Shona and Ndebele, the local languages. They are invited to take part in a hand washing ceremony before sampling traditional beer and snacks, as a prelude to dinner.  The highlight of the evening is the interactive drumming and dancing

Day 3: Victoria Falls- Mana Pools

Today we take Flights departing Victoria Falls and head out to Mana Pools Nyamatusi Camp Situated within a private concession in Mana Pools National Park, Nyamatusi Camp is the latest in the African Bush Camps Collection. Set in one of the wildest and most remote parts of Africa, on the banks of one of the oldest rivers in the world, Nyamatusi allows guests to experience an authentic view of the old untouched Africa. Inspired by the traditional custodians of the land who respected the river as the source of life, the design of the camp subtly incorporates the element of water and pays homage to the astounding beauty of the mighty Zambezi River

Day 4: Nyamatusi Camp

Today we set out very within a private concession in Mana Pools National Park, you can expect the utmost flexibility in activities, including guided walking safaris, canoeing safaris along the Zambezi River, and game drives. Here you will be accompanied by our knowledgeable guides who will share their knowledge and genuine love of the bush with you. All activities are complimentary

Day 5: Nyamatusi Camp- Bumi hills

On this day you take small plane you will be transferred from Nyamatusi Camp to Bumi Hills. Bumi Hills offers a multitude of ways for you to explore Lake Kariba and its surroundings. Enjoy the local cruises, fishing. Go on a scenic lakeside walking safari or a walking adventure deeper into the bush to search for fossilized dinosaur footprints or go on a game drive in search of the Big 5 game.

Day 6 Bumi Hills

Today we set out very early morning as these are the best times for wildlife viewing as the animals are most active during the cooler times and often rest during the heat of midday.

Wildlife sightings include elephant, kudu, sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other wildlife species.

Day 7 Bumi Hills-Harare

This day you will fly from Bumi Hills to Harare International Airport. Pick up from Harare international airport. The metropolitan area is home to over 3 million inhabitants. We will do a city tour upon arrival. Afternoon at leisure. This evening we will meet for dinner.

Day 8 Harare to Masvingo (293km 3 & half hours)

Lodge at the Ancient City (BL)

We depart for the greatest medieval city in sub-Saharan Africa. The Great Zimbabwe ruins (UNESCO) are impressive, built over hundreds of years between the 11th and 14th centuries. The site is massive, covering almost 1800 acres, and includes some incredible architectural details in the staircases, interlocking walls, granite boulders and mortar-less walls. The site also includes a small museum with houses, artifacts, displays of building techniques and a history of the site. The modern state takes it's present name, Zimbabwe, from this national monument. Late afternoon around 15.30 we do the tour of the ruins for +- 2 & half hours.

Day 9 Masvingo to Matopo (323km 4 hours)

Today we depart for Zimbabwe's oldest national park, Matobo (UNESCO). En route, we pass through Zimbabwe's second capital, Bulawayo where we will visit the rail museum.   We complete our journey to Matobo, with it's beautiful rock formations.

Day 10 Matopo

Matopo Hills Lodge (BLD)

Matobo Park is 423 square kilometers and has approximately 3,000 San (bushman) art paintings, some more than 15,000 years old. Today's excitement starts with a morning hike to see some of these impressive, ancient San paintings, we later visit the grave of Cecil John Rhodes. Zimbabwe, known as Rhodesia up until 1979, was named after Rhodes. In the afternoon, we enjoy a game drive and search on foot for resident black and white rhinos with your knowledgeable tracker.

Day 11 Matopo to Hwange (403km 5 hours)

 Today we depart Matopo and head out to The next destination will be Hwange National Park, Staying at the Sable Sands Lodge will give you the best opportunity the enjoy the wildlife which is predominant in the Park,  The transfer Matobo National Park to Hwange is approximately 5 hours but you may be delayed by animal sightings on the edge of the famous Park, on a private concession that boasts staunning views of the dried riverbed.– not to mention the prolific birdlife in the area.

 Hwange National Park is a land of contrasts from dense teak and acacia forest to vast open savannah, The eleven ‘classic’ rooms were built in 1989, nestled in the teak forest, and accommodated Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip in 1991. The five modern rooms which were added later overlook the waterhole and are directly situated at the ‘Dete Vlei’

All the rooms are traditional Zimbabwean round rural homes called ‘rondavels’, built from brick with big thatch roofs and have en-suite bathrooms

 Day 12 Sable Sands Camp,

Prepare for the greatest full day activity and explore the largest national park in Zimbabwe with big five game. Hwange National Park is one of the largest parks in Africa, and across these rolling plains roam the last great free ranging elephant population. You will be accompanied by our knowledgeable guides who even make it more exciting by assisting you to spot animals from afar or even the closest that you will not be seeing, if you allow yourself adequate time here you will probably see nearly all the major species: The duration of the activity is approximately 3 hours  and return to the lodge for lunch and a well-deserved siesta or dip in the swimming pool

Afternoon Game Drive      

Later on in the afternoon, the quest for animals continues as you embark on another game drive on the Private  concession, Guests will have the opportunity to see plains game such as buffalo, sable, giraffe, kudu, impala, elephant, zebra, lion and the elusive leopard. There is also a variety of birdlife in the area. Please note that the viewing of particular types of game cannot be guaranteed and depends on the luck of the day, however the game drives are informative and very interesting as they are conducted by knowledgeable and experienced guides.  Day 13: End of Itinerary

 After breakfast, enjoy the morning at leisure before you will be transferred to the Hwange Main Airport  for you Aircraft flight or Road Transfer  to Victoria Falls Airport  for your international flight back home, remembering all too well the amazing experience you had the last 13 days!
