FULL DAY VICTORIA ZAMBEZI SAFARI

Prepare for the greatest full day activity and explore the Zambezi River Game Drive, with an extensive network of roads and scenery along the river accessed through the main gate of the National Park, a few kilometers upstream of the Victoria Falls. and 25 kilometers Chamabondo Game Drive in the southern part of the park, which begins about 5 kilometres south of Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe with big four game

 In the early mornings and late afternoons, wild animals are at their most active, particularly in the warm and dry seasons, and the chances to see and watch them are good. The early morning is the coolest part of the day, hence in the Southern Winter, it is advisable to wear warm clothing, including a windcheater, in layers that can be shed as the day warms up. Shortly before and after sunrise, you have the best chances to see cats still active and on the hunt. In the afternoons when it gets warmer, the animals come down to the banks of the Zambezi to drink. During your early morning drive, you will be offered a light breakfast with tea and coffee, in the afternoon you have lunch in one picnic site with cold drinks will be included.

The professional guides impart their immense knowledge of the many species of mammals. With animals such as the African Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Warthog, Caracal, the majestic Sable, Eland, Waterbuck, Kudu, Bushbuck, Tsessebe, the elusive Grysbok, and the possibility of seeing  even Cheetah and the wild Dog. The birds and wilderness elements you encounter will leave you wanting more.

14:00PM After lunch we continue to hunt for more game during the afternoon drive before returning back to Victoria Falls. An estimated 400 species of birds have been recorded within the Zambezi National Park making this a bird lovers' paradise, with specialities which include the Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, Collared Palm Thrush, Lanner Falcon, Goliath Heron, Kori Bustard, African Fin foot, Rock Pratincole and Long-toed Lapwing.

WHAT TO BRING FOR YOUR SAFARI

BINOCULARS, as a wildlife-observer we encourage you to invest in the best set of optics binoculars that will deliver crisp image detail when you observe wildlife on safari. We recommed a pair of 8x42 Swarovski binoculars with chest-straps.

 CAMERA, a portable pocket sized point and shoot camera will do everything for you except making you a cup of coffee.

CLOTHING, pack dull colored clothing such as khaki, brown or green. Add a sunhat and sunglasses, suncream
